Secondary Forum

What is the Secondary Forum ?

The Secondary Forum is an informal, termly meeting open to all British Section staff, secondary pupils, and parents with children in British Section college and lycee classes at the Lycee main site or in the College des Hauts Grillets in St Germain or in College Pierre et Marie Curie in Le Pecq.

What does it do?

Provides the opportunity for parents and staff to meet informally to find out about and discuss issues of interest concerning the educational programme and learning environment of their children.

How does it function?

  • Meetings are held once a term in the evening. There is a friendly welcome and refreshments for all.

  • They are run by volunteer parent/s who is/are responsible for sending out reminder notices and information in advance of each meeting, writing up the minutes and sending them to the website manager.

  • Those who attend play a key part in determining which issues are discussed at meetings, but there is not necessarily a fixed agenda.

  • One or both of the Deputy Heads of the British Section will attend each meeting together with other members of the secondary teaching staff.

  • No formal decisions are taken at these meetings, but if issues arise which those present agree need further action, they are noted as such in the minutes and referred to the BSPTG (which also meets once a term, after the Secondary Forum and Primary Forum meetings)
