OIB Results

This year’s results were the best ever, with all 70 candidates passing the OIB (as usual) and no less than three-quarters of them achieving a mention très bien or mention bien! These are figures which will be greeted with something like incredulity by French people, for the numbers of students achieving these high grades across the nation are very small.  This is excellent and re-assuring news, therefore, for the British section community.  The other significant fact about this year’s cohort (or promotion) is that a majority of students (57%) sat the scientific Baccalaureate S, thereby showing their ability to master a curriculum including A-Level standard subjects in Language/Literature and History/Geography taught by the Section alongside challenging studies in Maths and Science taught in French.
