How does the BSPTG Function?
Elections for parent members are held every two years at the beginning of the second term. They are conducted to ensure that members represent all sites and age levels. The Group selects a Chairperson who is automatically a member of the BSPA Governing Body.
Members agree among themselves who will take responsibility for specific areas e.g. sports co-ordination, fund-raising, cultural activities, liaison between staff and parents/contact parent network and home-school partnership etc.
Non-members may attend meetings, held once a term (after the Primary Forum and Secondary Forum meetings and before the Governing Body meeting), but cannot vote and can only participate if invited to do so by the chairperson.
